Before dikDesign starts work on your design project or website, it is very important that you read and accept the terms of service. This is necessary to avoid misunderstandings between you and dikDesign.
Payment
The payment of fees will be made as follows;
50% is due upon commencement of project
50% is due on the day of Sign Off or Live Date.
No final artwork or files will be delivered until final invoices are paid in full. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. This is not negotiable. (Except by prior agreement)
Basic Terms and Conditions
dikDesign will under no circumstances be held responsible to satisfy unreasonable expectations or requests that lie beyond the scope of dikDesign’s offer of services to its client.
It is important to understand that dikDesign cannot make resources available to a project indefinitely as dikDesign have other obligations. If a project stalls or a client becomes unresponsive for more than 3 weeks, the project will become “inactive”. If there is no meaningful activity for 3 months the project will be terminated without refund.
The Client shall proofread & approve all final type before the production of artwork. Final proof will include artwork, size, shipping address & quantity.
Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement upon giving written notice to the other. Upon termination dikDesign may retain any initial payment and the Client shall pay dikDesign for all hours expended on the Project, up to the date of termination, at the Designer’s standard rates together with all other amounts due hereunder.
Timelines
After deposit is given and project has been outlined, dikDesign will provide you with an estimated turnaround time. For websites this turnaround time is from the date we have ALL CONTENT FROM YOU. Without content from you, the design job cannot be fully understood or planned out.
Delays in project completion may occur when:
There is a delay in any payments
The client requests further changes in the design, structure, or content of the project
The client purchases an additional service related to the project
There is a delay in the receipt of any materials from the client
Time frame estimates are approximate only and are subject to change at any time at dikDesign’s discretion.
Ownership of Artwork
Until full payment has been made, the company retains ownership of all original artwork or parts contained therein, whether preliminary or final. Upon full payment, the client shall obtain ownership of the final artwork to use and distribute as they see fit.
